When I reached middle age, as a marathon runner and competitive soccer player, I thought I was pretty healthy, but suddenly my body wasn’t responding as it had earlier in my life. My weight increased, and I started having new pains in new places. I couldn’t believe that what had worked so well in the past to stay “in shape” was now requiring more focus and different strategies. My aging body was clearly changing.
Each year since my midlife fitness journey began, it required me to experiment with a new set of techniques to get stronger, lose weight, become more flexible, eat better food, improve my thinking and communication, and find better communities to support me in my journey.
Now, at 54, I’m in the best shape of my life, and I want to share what I’ve learned with you. My holistic wellness program is called “Life Fitness” and uses best practices and personal development strategies across fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, and communication.
